DTI provides
multimedia and video game software for a variety of languages.
DTI also provides a localization service to adapt the software
to a new language, or for a specific region. The localization
process consists of translating or adapting the text, graphic
and sound content for a specific region or language.
Process
overview
When a localization request is made, the software content document
is sent to translation services. Once the translation is completed,
the graphic artist creates the required graphics (images, animations
and fonts) and imports them in BIS (Broadcast Interactive Studio)
as a language/region specific sub-project. The same process is
completed for the text and the sound content. The programmer
recompiles the content and applies source code changes if required,
and the software is sent to SQA (Software Quality Assurance).
Once approved by SQA, the software is sent to the customer for
final approval. If required, changes are made following the same
process until we get the final approval from the customer.
Technology
The BIS helps manage multiple versions of the software, and generates
the associated content for a specific sub-project and a specific
IFE platform. The software can than be released in English,
with separate files (one per additional language) containing
only the content required to run in a different language.
Advantage
These processes and technologies reduce time efforts, and provide
higher quality results. The released software requires less
memory space and downloads faster. The SQA process ensures
top quality translation and multimedia content.

Whether it is for Latin or non-Latin languages, DTI has prior
experience in more than 20 different languages.

Note:
Some limitations may apply on branded software and older
IFE systems.
